Most Women Don’t Notice These Early Pregnancy Signs

Sep
30

Many women don’t think about the possibility of being pregnant until after their period is missed and the test is taken. At that time, many early pregnancy symptoms may begin to occur, and confirm what is already known because of the body’s own response to the many changes taking place. Some of these early pregnancy signs and symptoms may appear long before your period is missed. However, many women won’t notice the signs at first, because they are not obtrusive enough to warrant much attention. If you did notice them, that might be the best time to take a pregnancy test.  But by the time a woman hits the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy however, these early pregnancy signs might be difficult to ignore.

Yuck. Even the thought of that food makes me want to throw up.

Most women expect to have food cravings and aversions later into their first trimester, but most are surprised how early they appear. When you look at charts of pregnancy symptoms week by week, these symptoms often show up much later in the term. However, challenges with different types of food can begin very early in the first trimester and will sometimes continue on throughout the pregnancy. It is interesting that your craving for ice cream and pickles may turn into a craving for anchovies and chocolate milk just a few months later.

Once you are pregnant, various hormone levels rise, causing many of these early pregnancy symptoms. The fluctuations in hormones can sensitize the nose to a variety of odors, and the odors are often the cause of the food aversion. One important thing to do when you have any of these early pregnancy symptoms is to be sure that you take your prenatal vitamin, so you are sure to get the nutrients you need. Try to take you pregnancy vitamin with a little food, so you don’t upset your stomach even more.  Then try to cater to your aversions and cravings as much as possible while sticking to a healthy diet as much as possible.

Why is everything such a pain in my back?

Most women won’t think about back problems as early pregnancy symptoms; after all, that extra weight hasn’t started packing it on just yet! Many books that talk about pregnancy symptoms week by week will also list low back pain in the later months of pregnancy as the growing baby begins to put a strain on the mother’s body. However, many women do experience low back pain as one of the early pregnancy symptoms as well. Once again, you can blame hormones for this discomfort as they prepare your joints and ligaments for the delivery of your baby at the end of your term.

You probably know many of the early pregnancy symptoms. Many early pregnancy symptoms are common enough that most women will experience them, like morning sickness, fatigue and swollen breasts. Early pregnancy symptoms like food aversions and low back pain often occur so early in pregnancy that many women are surprised that they are having them. If you are ever concerned about any of the early pregnancy symptoms you experience, talk to your doctor.

The Kettle Valley Railway

Sep
30

The Kettle Valley Railway is a discontinued rail line where the rails and ties have been removed and the surface graded. Trestles had been retrofitted with planking for a smooth surface and there is some maintenance performed to clear up slides. The Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) stopped operating in 1989 and the tracks were ripped up in the early 1990’s. The KVR at one time consisted of 477 kilometres of tracks from Midway in the Interior to Hope on the coast. The Kettle Valley Railroad blasted the series of tunnels through granite in 1915. In about a third of a mile there are four tunnels and two bridges spanning the Coquihalla River.

Trail is in great shape. Most interesting sections are Princeton to Coalmont (great cycling by the river through some mountain gorges/ ochre cliffs/ big tunnels) and beyond Brookmere (Cold Water River is beautiful). Trail is relatively good. From McCullough to Beaverdell is sort of “downhill” and can be done quickly over some sections.

The lake is located less than 1 minute away. Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance.

Cyclists are more than welcome, be it for a piece of Doreen’s famous homemade pie or a few days of R&R. Cyclists can easily detour around on Quilchena Avenue and rejoin the former railbed within a block. The railbed is passable until you reach Beaver Lumber which has fenced it off.

The Kettle Valley Railway trail runs by so nature lovers can hike or bike our numerous scenic trails, or you can just relax by the lake and soak in the serene beauty of Princeton Castle. There’s also horse back riding, swimming, and Peddle Boat rentals available.

Penticton and Princeton are our next proposed stops. We are having a fantastic time. Penticton is a 50 minute drive south from Kelowna. The US/Canada border crossing to the south on Highway 97 is open 24 hours a day; other border crossings in this region are closed overnight.

But it was calm and quiet when I rode through there. The stretch between Hollister and Atascadero is devoid of any towns except a multitude of cattle ranches which seemed to have stopped evolving in the 1920s.

Cyclists are more than welcome, be it for a piece of Doreen’s famous homemade pie or a few days of R&R. Cycling vacations in New England, in “old England” and in continental Europe have become incessantly popular ways to see the scenery at a relatively leisurely pace, economically and heathily as well. In Europe or the UK, where rain train transportation is wide-ranging for rainy days, times when travelers want to skip from place to place, or when they just need a rest day, it is quite simple to put together an independent itinerary for those with strong legs and lungs to match. Cyclists can easily detour around on Quilchena Avenue and rejoin the former railbed within a block. The railbed is passable until you reach Beaver Lumber which has fenced it off.

Trails across private land, treaty land or leased land may have been used casually by local and visiting travelers without any formal agreement with the land owner/manager. It used to be that “innocent” trespass was overlooked but now that trails are being mapped and signs are being erected property owners are concerned that they may lose their control of the use of the land or that they will be held liable should a trespasser be injured or killed. Trail is relatively good. From McCullough to Beaverdell is sort of “downhill” and can be done quickly over some sections.

The Kettle Valley Railway offers a unique two-hour journey on one of BC’s few remaining fully operational steam railways. From May to October, enjoy a tour along a preserved ten-kilometre section of the original railway. The Kettle Valley Railway right-of-way has become a favourite travel route because of its easy grades and spectacular scenery. Rock Oven Park contains several interesting features of historical significance. The Kettle Valley Railway served the Kootenay Mining Region of the southern interior of British Columbia for 85 years, and for many of those years operated both as a freight and passenger railway. However, passenger service was phased out by 1964, as private cars rapidly supplanted rail travel with the opening of highways from the coast into the interior, and freight service ended in 1989 in the face of a severe competition from trucking companies.

The Kettle Valley Railway was created in part to help preserve both Canadian sovereignty within the Kootenay region of British Columbia, and also retain mining revenues in Canada.

Cycling this trail is truly a dynamic and challenging venture that unfolds over the expanse of place and time. Cyclists should be aware that this is a great little campground at Km 42.3 just north of Rhone. It has fire pits, a little beach, water, and really clean outhouses. Cyclists come from all over the World to experience this historic trail. Over 600 km of trails provide exciting recreation for people of all ages and cycling skill levels.

Built to connect the Kootenay region to the coast of BC through the southern Okanagan, it was 525 km (326 mi) long and traversed near-impossible terrain with trestles and tunnels. It was said to be the most expensive railway built anywhere in the world. Built in 1898 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, she now is dry-docked on the lakeshore. Activities include a short video, model railway display and self-guided tour of the vessel, which has plush Victorian dr, realistic displays and historic artifacts. Built nearer the City, this original strip was completed in 1928 and became, on May 9th, 1929, the first federally licensed airport in B.C. Airmen were trained there during W.W.II, and in 1946 a new field farther away from the built-up area was opened.

Trail users MUST be prepared for potentially long periods of sun exposure, and must bring sufficient water supplies. In addition, some of the trail surface in this area may be loose gravel, making a long uphill trip seem even longer. Trail is in great shape. Most interesting sections are Princeton to Coalmont (great cycling by the river through some mountain gorges/ ochre cliffs/ big tunnels) and beyond Brookmere (Cold Water River is beautiful).

Kelowna’s premiere tourist attraction is a scenic, nostalgic, leisurely, romantic and entertaining journey on board an original Super Continental cross-country passenger train through Canada’s scenic Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. The handsomely restored railcars make a round-trip north from Kelowna, traveling through two valleys, along three lakes, through the middle of a golf course, and past countless farms and orchards. Kelowna’s Accent Inn is right in the middle of the sunny Okanagan, a year-round recreation paradise, ideal for family vacations and ski or golf getaways. Sparkling Okanagan Lake is rimmed by sandy beaches, acres of orchards, famous golf courses and charming estate wineries.

Carved through rocky topography, the section through Naramata was one of the most difficult sections of the KVR to construct. Several trestles of the KVR have been rebuilt in the area. Carmi was once a booming town with a gold mine, a jail, a hospital, two hotels, two stores and gas stations. It is now a ghost town.

Open May through September, this recreation area features vehicle/tent sites and a picnic/day-use area. Remains of gold and silver mines that once brought thousands of people to this now peaceful area can be seen on the river’s eastern bank. Open May through September the park features 87 vehicle/tent campsites, including some group sites.? The sites are located at a bend on the west bank of the Kettle River nestled in an area of Ponderosa pine and birchgrass. Facilities provided include pit toilets, picnic tables, fire pits, firewood, water and a sani-station.? Recreational facilities include a children?s playground and some horseshoe pits.

Trestles are covered with a boardwalk and have railings. Eighteen trestles and two tunnels in a horseshoe loop allow breathtaking views of the Canyon and the City of Kelowna below. Trestles, tunnels and lake vistas are common on the surrounding trails, and the longest tunnel (1 km) on the CPR is just over the hill. We shuttle you to the height of land (in most cases) so your ride is almost always downhill.

Sixteen Important Hawaii Vacation Tips

Sep
30

Traveling to Hawaii for the first time can be hectic and exciting at the same time. Knowing what to pack and what to leave home can make a big difference in the quality of your vacation. These preparation tips will help you stay calm and arrive prepared for an unforgettable Hawaiian vacation.

1. Call the airline within 24 hours of your scheduled flight to check for delays and cancellations.

2. Arrive at the airport at least three hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.

3. Before leaving for the airport, open your wallet and make sure you have your driver’s license, credit cards and cash. Double check to make sure you have your flight information and tickets as well.

4. Mark every piece of luggage clearly with your identification information, both on the inside and outside.

5. Lightweight luggage with wheels is best. Be sure to pack light and leave room for extra items that you will invariably purchase on the islands.

6. Call your hotel and check to see if they provide in room items like hair dryers and irons. If so, you can leave these bulky items at home. Packing easy care clothing that is wrinkle resistant or purchasing wrinkle release spray can keep your ironing on vacation as well.

7. Pack accordingly. Hawaii weather is warm and sunny and the temperature ranges from 70-85° F all year. Pack light, brightly colored clothing made of breathable fibers.

8. Occasional showers may spring up, so be sure to include rain gear with that super size bottle of sunscreen! Hawaii is closer to the equator and the sun’s rays are strong! Even if you normally do not burn or think you have an adequate tan before leaving, you will still need a high SPF sun block.

9. Comfortable walking shoes and a pair of easy to slip on shoes are a must in Hawaii. Dress for warm weather and pack two or more bathing suits since you’ll most likely be spending most of your time on the water.

10.If your hotel has laundry facilities, consider packing half the clothes you will need and washing a load of laundry mid-week. This really cuts down on your travel gear.

11.Don’t forget to pack your sunglasses and your camera!

12.If you plan on hiking in the mountains or visiting Volcanoes National Park, temperatures drop drastically and you will need pants and long sleeved shirts that can be layered as the temperature changes during your trek. Packing a flashlight is also a great idea if you plan on hiking trails since some portions of the trail may be dark.

13.If hiking, pack a small backpack to hold necessities while on the trail.

14.Be sure to bring your prescription medication since it may be quite difficult to obtain after you arrive on the island.

15.Make sure your cell phone is programmed with important contact information and phone numbers in case of an emergency. Don’t forget to pack your charger as well!

16.You may need a nice dress or sport coat for fine dining in Hawaii. While visiting Hawaii, it is also helpful to know a few local words that will appear on restaurant menus and local attraction descriptions.

Pack light, pack smart, and plan for the unexpected when vacationing in the Hawaiian Islands. Brightly colored clothing is the rule, not the exception in Hawaii so break out your funkiest Aloha shirt and prepare for fun and sun in paradise!

How to save money on your Vail Vacation

Sep
30

Vacationing in Vail Colorado is quite expensive these days.  A typical winter time vacation is almost out of reach for most middle class families.  Therefore, here are some ideas on how you can make a trip to Vail afordable and have a great time.

First of all Vail is not like most places where you need to have a vehicle.  As long as your Vail Lodging is on or near a bus route, you will not need any transportation and the bus is free!  If you fly in to Denver, you can reserve a Shuttle to Vail.  It is only $59.00 to the Vail transportation center, and if your lodging is on the bus route, then you can take the bus from there.  Door to door service is slightly more expensive.

The biggest way to save on your Vail Vacation is to stay at a Vacation Rental Home in Vail as opposed to a hotel. This is very cost effective when travelling with more people.  You can rent a home for a fraction of what it costs to stay in a hotel and becuase these homes typically sleep more people, your cost per person is quite cheap.  Lets say you stay in a three bedroom house that sleeps 8 people.  That would typically be $500 - $600 per night at a hotel for the two rooms.  A vail vacation home may only cost $200-$350 per night.

If you happen to know someone who works on the mountain, they usually get half-price lift tickets. Even if you offe them 75% of the retail value, you both win.  Also when you go skiing, don’t eat a big meal on the mountain, it is very expensive.  Instead, hit the grocery store and get granola bars etc… This will allow you to take advantage of the whole day too.

How Do Boilers Work?

Sep
29

A boiler is an important component of a heating system used in homes, buildings, industries and in making hot water. It is the part that contains water and moves heat in the form of steam from a fuel source such as oil, gas or coal to provide warm air. This is often found in hot water heating systems that convert heated water into steam and returns it to the source to be reused when the air gets cooler.

Specifically, a boiler works by burning natural gas, oil or wood pellet to heat water that goes through hot water tubes or cylinders, radiators or underfloor systems. Boilers can be energy efficient if well maintained, properly set up and their insulation intact and sealed well.

In most residential and small commercial applications, boilers can produce hot water at around 160 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit which is then circulated throughout the system using a pump. At temperature above 212 degrees Fahrenheit, steam is produced.

Types of boilers

Boilers can be closed or open systems. A closed system refers to one which is able to reuse 100 percent of the steam produced by a boiler. In other words, the energy from the steam is converted back into the form of water to be used again in producing heat. A hot water heating system is an example. On the other hand, an open system is one which does not return the condensate back into the boiler as the process of heating may be a source of contamination.

Boilers also come in two basic types – the firetube and the watertube. In the firetube or shell boilers, the fire or the hot gases are directed through the inner part of the tubes situated within the boiler shell surrounded by water. This design type, which is found in 80 percent of boilers, can produce steam of up to a maximum of 25,000 pounds per hour.

In the watertube, the fire or hot gases are directed to and around the exterior of tubes containing water. The boilers in this type are rectangular in shape and have two or more drums. In the top drum is where steam and water are separated while the lower drum acts as a collection point. When a huge amount of steam is needed, this system is very ideal.

How it works

Boilers operate when fuel is supplied to the burner. Natural gas is supplied through the gas pipe, oil or LPG through a pressurized tank while the wood pellet is blown to the burner. Fuel is then mixed with air and ignited.

The next stage is when the fire from the burner and its combustion gases escapes into the boiler. What follows is the transfer of heat to the water that circulates through the heat exchanger within the boiler.

When water is heated, it then produces warm air around the house via the radiators, under-floor heater and hot water tubes.

Keep in mind that boilers have to be regularly cleaned to make it work for a longer period. As they age, boilers that are not well maintained usually become less efficient.

Here are some tips then to follow. Run your boiler for short periods of time. Also, avoid turning it on and off very often as doing so could affect its system. Leave at least a one-hour interval before switching it on again.

Auto Sound Systems One Component at a Time

Sep
29

If you have been planning on buying a new sound system for your car, then you already know about all of the different choices that you have. It used to be that you could simply walk in to an electronics store and pick out what you wanted, knowing that you had everything you need in the one box. Nowadays, you cannot do that anymore; everything is more complicated and comes in so many pieces. If you are out to create a killer sound system, then you had better get ready to deal with more parts and pieces and separate components than you could have ever imagined! There seem to be just as many components to a sound system as there are people who want them. In short, each needs to fit each person’s budget, personal style and tastes and needs. You can find great Car Stereo speakers here.

This is why all of the electronics and auto sound system manufacturers have jumped at the chance to provide their customers with the components that they want at prices they can afford. They have made a very wise business decision by doing this. This way people have the opportunity to get that killer sound system that they are dreaming of having; and they can do this one piece at a time. This is very good business.

None of us actually likes living within a tight budget however, this is something we all need to do. If you really think about it, living within a set budget really is not so bad. It gives you the opportunity to buy what you really need first and the get some of those little extras as you are able to afford them. Think about this, if you could have everything you want when you want it; would you be surprised by any gifts you get? Probably not. If you enjoy finding good deals on what you want, then finding out that the component you want has been marked down will get your motor going. You would be very smart to do some research before you make a major purchase like this. A good quality sound system for your vehicle (installation included) can cost you $1,000 or more, depending on what you have in the package. We like Kenwood Amps and would recommend that you select them first and then build your system around the amp.

This does not mean that you must have the entire thousand dollars all at once! You might decide to go out and get a good set of speakers first, which can cost somewhere between $200 and $260. Although you will find speakers that are less expensive, they may not last as long as top of the line speakers. If you have to stay within a certain budget limit, then you might think about buying your speakers and installing them yourself or having a friend install them. This will save you money if you can do it.

Be sure how you are going to set up your cars sound system before you by anything One way to do this is letting your friends and family know which of the smaller components you want; this gives them some birthday and holiday gift ideas and helps you put that killer auto sound system of yours together one piece at a time. If you take that approach towards your goal, you might find yourself with that killer sound system much sooner than you ever dreamed of! Banner links vs text links !

Sep
28

Market research has actually shown that banner links are less effective than text links. This is because people know they’re advertisements and so they ignore them.

Marketing consulting is almost a kind of magic, where the marketing firms work with peoples primitive desires, fears, loyalties, and revulsions to make them desire or even need certain products, and try to push them away from other ones. It would be overstating things to say that marketing consulting is life, but it sure does effect how you see the world, and for the worse I think. Offers such as -win a free mp3 player- that are targeted to any demographic will likely get the click but not the sale, unless the actual offer being promoted reaches the same demographic.

It is incredibly important to strike a balance between impressions to clicks conversion and clicks to sales conversion.

Offerwise is a new affiliate network devoted exclusively to market research and paid survey offers. They have some exclusive offers and offer the best payouts in the industry. Niche affiliate marketing is the easy, fast way to make money on the internet, and give you the ultimate honest home based business opportuni .

Niches like on-line dating, hummingbirds, fly fishing, ferret owners, etc. The possibilities are really endless.

Search engines love content, and so do your site visitors. Content is one of the most important aspects of getting people to your web site, and helping them to see the value in what you’re selling. Search engines are a very good place to begin.

Some websites will provide links to lists of the top ten affiliate programs. Search engines partially base their ranking algorithms on the content they think searchers will see when they visit a particular URL.

Deception of a search engine involves deliberately withholding content from a search engine that searchers will see, and/or providing content to a search engine that searchers won’t see.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can be defined as improving a site’s list ranking on various search engines.

Sep
28

If you love jewelry, chances are, you are gathering them to please your cravings. However, are you aware that you can count on them during the most financially depressed moment of your life?

Yes, you can truly get cash for gold simply by selling them! The high price of gold is inspiring owners to get cash for gold jewelry. Seeing this great opportunity, those people whose business revolves around gold are also reaching out to obtain their share also. You see, back then you would scarcely see establishment advertising on televisions, asking people to sell their gold for cash, but nowadays, these are very widespread.

So what should you must do to sell your gold? Actually, you will not find it hard to see someone who will buy your metal given that there are so many of them out there who are all willing to do a business with you. A simple search on the internet will provide many of them. The best thing to do is to consider all information that you need to know about the refiner and you must as well study the process of how to transfer your gold into cash before you try to sell them.

When searching for ways to get sell gold jewelry, the first thing to dwell on is: how much of an emergency this is? You see, almost half of the battle in selling is achievingthe best price for your piece, if you are too fast, you might overlook a buyer who would willingly give double the price as what the other is providing. You should also check buyer’s information online from a dependable source, do not instantly send a package with your gold hoping that the buyer will like your product and he could just give you the cash later. What if the buyer will not give back your product and will not give you any payment?

In order to sell your gold better you need to be more careful in dealing the jewelry to a promising buyer. Just because someone talks sweet doesn’t mean that he is worthy enough to be trusted. Learn to read between the small line of a sweet talker.

So now, if you have a gold jewelry at home that you rarely use, it is about time to sell it in exchange of cash than wait for the piece to get lost.
